Unsaleable art

Chronicle by Luc Clément

Summary

A Peruvian artist based in Amsterdam, Teresa Borasino collaborates with STAFF-ROOM, a non-profit platform dedicated to ‘unsaleable’ work processes. She is also associated with the Futuro Caliente collective, bringing together artists who are involved in climate-change related projects. During the last COP21 in Paris (November 30 – December 12, 2015), the artist acquired an accreditation through the Peruvian delegation and, alongside other activist groups such as TierraActiva, seized the occasion to fill the conference restrooms with 150 rolls of toilet paper printed with the most recent IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) report on the climate (Climate Change Synthesis Report). This annual scientific report is the very one that states like to ignore when developing their respective policies.
