Georgia René-Worms

Biography
Georgia René-Worms graduated from Villa Arson in 2014. In 2016, she joined the curatorial studies programme at the Ecole du Magasin in Grenoble. Between 2016 and 2017, she conducted research on the relationship between the Italian art scene of the 1960s and 1970s and feminist activist groups. She was a member of the 2017-2018 session of postgraduate course at the ENSBA, Lyon. In 2019, she was the first prize-winner in the Villa Champollion programme at the French Institute in Cairo (Egypt). Her practice is organic, multiple, and extends beyond mere artistic creation to encompass writing and curating, multiplying experiences around her research subjects from the perspective of feminist criticism. In her work, the main challenge is to analyse the centre from the margins and to take into account the pluralities of identity rather than its purely social value. Her texts are in keeping with New Narrative, in which the author strives to present her subjective experience honestly without guaranteeing an absolutely objective text.
