Biography
Alexandra Guillot's work does not adhere to a particular medium, it transcends from medium to media across performance, sculpture, drawing, photography, installation and video, in an attempt of setting up each time a world built by fragile but tough impressions. An immersed universe resurfaces, bearing a strange atmosphere. There’s a mysterious language form to be heard here, an unknown grammar which oddly resonates to make sense. The margin, the night, the ghosts, the supernatural are some of the elements composing Alexandra Guillot's work, as if we had to see the hidden side of all things. While making us look outside the framework, the artist gives the feeling that the tangible side of this world only contains a tiny part of existence. Her personal and sensitive work tells about her poetic relationship with reality and help experience an invisible nocturnal territory.
